Filtration System

Filters are used to remove organic and inorganic debris from the water that could potentially clog the emission devices. In agriculture, sand media filters, screen filters or disc type filters are commonly used and may be cleansed manually, semi-automatically or automatically. Even where potable water is used, which is typical of landscaping applications, disc or screen filters should be installed since scale and chemical precipitants may occur which present a potential clogging hazard. Depending on the emission device chosen, the degree of filtration should be 120 microns.

Sand/Gravel/Media Filter

Sand filter is usually required in peculiar cases when the water source is open well, ponds, rivers or canals. In such cases, water needs filtration also against green algae, and “SIFLON” gravel and sand filter prove to be the best in this regard. These filters are available in various flow rates like 10m3, 20m3, 30m3, 40m3, and 50m3.

Filtering with media filters is also recognized as depth filtration. The media filters perform the filtration of water through a thick layer of graded particles. These particles can be sand, gravel or other granular materials. The filtration rate depends on the effective size of the bedding and the water velocity through the filter. System offers a complete line of manifolds, accessories and control systems for single or multiple media filters.

Disc Filter

Disc filter is usually installed between the water pump and the main hose. Its function is to protect the dripper inline from rust, sand and other impurities that may clog them.  It is easy to open for cleaning. It is ideal for water filtration of agricultural micro irrigation systems, landscape irrigation systems and home gardens. Manufactured from reinforced engineering plastic material, resist great pressure and with maxi UV & oxidizer protection. Proper filtration is of much importance to prevent low pressure diffuser like emitters from clogging.

Screen Filter

Screen filter is mainly produced from the non-toxic materials and is resistant to or protected against degradation caused by existing working conditions and type of water used in agricultural irrigation. The screen filter protects the water passages of drip emitters and micro sprinklers from particles that may enter the irrigation system. They provide reliable, low-maintenance filtration and help to ensure trouble-free operation of both drip and micro sprinkler systems

Features

  • The screen elements are constructed of molded plastic ribs that support a stainless steel weave-wire for a filtration range of 80 or 100 micron.
  • The direction of flow in the screen elements is from the inside out. Suspended solids accumulate on the inner side of the screen.
